ALTF002

After the stellar offerings on Not Another Net Label Vol. 01, the standard was already set high to continue the Alt message of fresh, original electronic sounds veering away from the boring-as-fuck trends of the minimal scene. Lucky for us (and you!) we have here a simply jaw-dropping ear-popping mind-blowing collection that takes the label's principles to the next level.

From these tracks, you can take your pick of what you look for in music, whether it be deep emotional movements or all-out dancefloor damage. Audio Dependent has literally nuked the competition with YES SEY, a slab of the most delightfully spannered wonk imaginable with a growling bass hook to instantly jerk the body into action. J-Lab has done us proud with the deep and surprising moodiness that permeates With Love, coming on like a spangly spine-rush.

The irrepressible funk of Mr Smith's Feckless will have any self respecting head nodding from the start, while Joe Ellis' own brand takes things down a warmer, jazz-inflected corridoor. Label head-honcho Tone Def was going to hold back his track, but thankfully he changed his mind. Remember signifies a maturing in the TD sound, where the day-glo synths step out hand in hand with a rocking bottom end to go to a decidedly classy party.
